Our dogs are BEAT

What a beautiful day it was yesterday. Finally! We spent the morning at church with my family, and then ventured over to my parents house to celebrate Fathers Day. My mom made egg bake, and after we ate we made our way to the backyard to play a little baggo. My grandpa and grandma even made it over for a bit to celebrate! After church before we went over the the rents, we stopped home to pick up the dogs. They were so excited to have the largest yard to run around in, they hardly knew what to do with themselves. Granted, our yard is big, but not compared to my parents yard. They pretty much had free reign to do what they pleased, and yes they did what they wanted. Caeda, is so content running after balls, and chasing after Chewy ( my parents Yorkie) , but Chloe on the other hand always manages to find some patch of STINK, to roll in until she reeks. She managed to dig a really small hole in the grass right in front of us, reminder that the hole was the size of her nose, which is TINY. Once the grass was moved away a bit, she carefully went just under the grass surface, and found a worm, which yes, she rubbed all over her face. SICK!

Our second interesting event of the afternoon came when one of the many times of the afternoon we were calling Caeda's name to make sure she wasn't snatched up by a hawk or something of that sort. As we were calling her, and squeaking her toy we realized that she wasn't hiding in one of the many trees, or bushes. I went inside thinking she may have went inside with out us noticing when one of us went inside. I called her name and didn't hear a thing, except the doorbell. I ran up the stairs only to find my parents neighbor from two houses down holding Caeda. He said that she walked up to him in his garage and was so friendly. He thought it maybe was Chewy, but thought she looked different and was smaller. Needless to say, it could have been much worse, and thanks to Ted we didn't loose our Caeda.

I think my parents are a bit more at ease with the gruesome threesome getting along, i.e. three dogs. They will be watching our little rug rats from the 26th to the 30th. That's almost 5 whole days while we are at our friends cabin. Caeda is now the alpha dog of the three, as she likes to pick on/chase both Chewy and Chloe. I think after 5 days of being in close quarters, they will learn to love each other, and maybe have a bit of separation anxiety after we pick them up on the 30th. That or my parents may feel a bit lonely once they don't have a house full of dogs.

After all was said and done yesterday, we went home i folded laundry, and Adam cooked dinner. The dogs slept the entire time. I got up this morning and usually the dogs run down their doggy stairs from our bed excited for the day, but today they didn't even move. In fact, after i got out of bed, Caeda slithered over to the spot where my warm body was laying, and buried her face back under the covers to avoid the light. I think they will be quite happy sleeping in their kennels all day. Heck, after a day like yesterday, they need their rest!
