FRIDAY

Finally it is Friday. This week at work it has been absolutely nutz!! I don't think have had the opportunity to breathe let a lone eat a peaceful lunch this week, therefore i am thankful it is Friday. I met Ali for dinner yesterday, it was so great to catch up. It felt like ages since i saw her last. Today we have a golf outing at Rush Creek for work which will be a lot of fun, and i get to leave at 11...yeah for company events. I feel all professional with my new golf clubs that Adam bought me. People around the office have already said i'd better be good because i have new clubs. I just tell them...you just wait and see. It is a best ball tournament which will be nice, because then i get to pick my ball up and move it up to the farthest ball hit every stroke. AND IT IS ACTUALLY LEGAL! Usually i just kick my ball onto the fairway, or out of the trees and count it as one of my many mulligans. But this time i don't even have to call it a mulligan! We have a dinner afterwards, so all in all it will be a great Friday, and it is even nice out! Tomorrow my parents have our big family birthday party surprise. Every year instead of giving us gifts they plan a big surprise and take us for the day. I am really excited and filled with anticipation...Adam even is coming this year! I will update on Monday to let you know 1) how golf was and 2) what the big birthday surprise is.

YEA FOR ALI AND LUKE!!

I found out Friday that Ali and Luke are going to have a baby!!! I couldn't be happier for the two of them! CONGRATS you too, and like i said in Ali's comments, i am going to be touching her tummy once it starts to grow!! I CAN'T WAIT!!! I LOVE preggo tummies!

Here's to Steph and Brandt

4 short years ago Stephanie and Brandt were just about to walk down the isle to get married at this time today. Today, 4 years later, they are happily married with their little bundle of joy Addison Noelle. Here's to you both! Congratulations! That was SUCH a fun day, and i even caught the bouquet...it only took 3 years after for me to get married, but it WORKED! Love you both!

William Hung?

So last night i hosted an event for CarVal at the Saint Paul Saints game. We had a buffet before the game, and then sat as a group and watched the game. About the 3rd inning, none other than William Hung came out from the dugout, stood on the top of the dugout, and sang some random Rock song....RANDOM! Who decided that William Hung would come to the Saints...I don't think that most people believed it was him, because they were walking right by him and not even really looking at him. About the 7th inning we were all wondering if William Hung was going to come back out, because you can't sing at the Saints, have your name be William Hung, and not sing "She Bangs." So thankfully at the end of the 7th inning, William Hung struts back out and walks ontop of the dugout, and sang "She Bangs" This time the audience was totally into it, singing with him, doing the famous circular arm movement, and there were people actually pushing up to the fence to take pictures of him. The funniest part was, that instead of people taking pictures of his face, they were taking pictures of the back of his head, because he was facing the baseball players the whole time he sang "She Bangs." I don't know what he was thinking???

The game turned out to be a lot of fun, we smoked the other team, and had some good employee/intern bonding. I am glad my planning went smooth, and nothing backfired on me!!

Birthday Weekend

My husband is so great! He had the best weekend planned for me.

1: On Friday Adam went shopping and came home with a bag of clothes. He blindfolded me and made me try on about 15 things. The reason for the blindfold was so that i didn't know what the weekend had in store for me based on clothes. He cooked Manicotti, and we watched a movie in bed. It was relaxing and very thoughtful.

2: I wake up on Saturday and was supposed to be ready to leave by 7:30 without knowing what we were doing. I took a shower and put on a bit of makeup, threw on sweats and got in the car. We headed north, and exited near Otsego and Adam gave me a card (super sweet) and a bag with my outfit. As i pulled the outfit out we pulled into the golf course. Adam had bought me a golf outfit! We pull into the course, and i get out of the car, and Adam had me open the trunk and there in the trunk was a brand new set of clubs just for me. The bag, and clubs were black and light pink. SUPER CUTE! His brother even met us there to play 18. It was a lot of fun, and by having clubs that were made for women made the game a lot more enjoyable, and less painful for my hands and wrists. I could actually play 18 and not feel like my wrists were going to fall off. I even golfed a 110! That's not the best, but good enough for me!

All in all it was a great weekend, and a great birthday. My hubby really out did himself this year!

I fell off the earth....

I have been so busy at work, i have not had time to update my blog in WAY too long. I finally have a minute of downtime and so i thought i would attempt to type really fast and update. Adams birthday present was a success. He loved it, and sitting in the private booth at the Melting Pot was the perfect time to go through all of the fun pictures and talk about where our relationship has gone since we met. Little did he know at the end of the book was the 'fun' ones. He loved my attempt to be cute and do something like that for him.

Two weekends ago we headed to our friend Sam's cabin for a long weekend (Th - Mon) It was definitely a good time. We go every summer, and there is a group of about 15 of us who stay. We did a lot of boating, swimming, playing yard games, bonfires, and just having a good time.

Last weekend we went up to a cabin of a friend of Adams in St.Cloud, and stayed overnight Friday night. It was a really good time. We learned a new card game called ...%$#@ (crap) on your neighbor. We ended up teaching it to my family on Sunday and we all played, they loved it! We also went out on the boat at the cabin quite a bit. Adam went wake boarding, and looked SO hot doing so. He wiped out a few times, and on our way home on Saturday, he could barely move. I had to pack the car and help him hobble around like he was 85. He kept thinking something was wrong with him, however, he just didn't realize that he just had not wake boarded in so long that his muscles didn't remember what it felt like.

This week has been crazy, my boss is in London, so work has been a bit hectic. She left me to hold down the fort, and believe me i have big shoes to fill. I would have to say i have kept my cool and have done a pretty good job. I think she would be confident leaving the country and allowing me to take the reigns when she is gone again.

One absolute downer, is i think our camera was stolen. We had it on Saturday, when we ate at Buffalo Wild Wings, and it was in my purse, and then Sunday it was gone. I was really upset. Thankfully i had taken our memory card out of the camera to show Adam the wake boarding pictures/video i took, so we didn't lose all of our pictures we had previously taken. Still, i have had that pit feeling in my stomach ever since. Who knows, maybe it will show up somewhere...like my cell phone did last week :)

So, tonight I am taking Adam out to dinner at the Melting Pot for his birthday, which actually isn't until Tuesday...he doesn't know what our plans our...i'm surprising him! For his birthday he decided to use his gift money from everyone to buy us a new video camera. My portion of his birthday present is also going towards the camera. For those of you who know me, i have to buy a present, even if i am not supposed to...it's in my genes. So, i had to come up with a VERY inexpensive gift that i could give him. This was not an easy task for me. I decided (and this is a sensitive topic) to take a few racy photos of myself to give to him...by racy i don't mean anything nude, i mean pictures of me trying to be hot, which mind you is not very easy when you are by yourself and you are constantly trying to remove dogs that keep wondering in the pictures. For instance i tried on an old dance costume and set up the tripod and snapped a few pictures. For obvious reasons, they didn't turn out how i wanted them to, but they are fun, and something he will love. I went on snapfish last night to order the pictures so i could pick them up at Target, and decided that i would make a better album for him including additional pictures. I don't scrapbook, so for me an album means picking up pictures and putting them in an album literally. I went through all of our pictures on the computer and ordered all of the pictures we had of just the two of us, and now my album will contain 100 pictures of Adam and I. It was actually really fun to go through all of the pictures and see all of the memories we have shared together. I have put some of my favorites below (and i threw in one from the day we got our poopies!). Wish me luck in not toppling over in embarrassment as i give him the album tonight and he sees the pictures of me attempting to be hot :) It should be interesting!!!
